Sauvignon Vert Opoka is a new wine from the Opoka line by Marjan Simčič. It is produced from the oldest vineyard in the region, which is entirely situated on top of the low Italian hill called Ronc Zegla.
The wine is distinguished by its delicate golden hue. When left in the glass, it develops subtle yet unobtrusive aromas reminiscent of herbal notes, dried wildflowers, and ripe green apples.
On the palate, it expresses refined elegance, supported by a pleasant mineral note and a slight characteristic finish of ripe almonds.
Sauvignon Vert could be described as a gastronomic wine, given its wide range of culinary applications. It pairs well with a variety of vegetable-based appetizers and is ideal for sushi and mildly spiced Asian cuisine.

Marjan Simčič
Marjan Simčič believes in the power of nature. In Brda, this nature has created ideal climatic conditions for grapevine growth for centuries. For over thirty years, Marjan has been cultivating grapes in carefully selected vineyards, using traditional vine training methods. Marjan’s wines are divided into three lines. The first line consists of fresh wines, the second line features wines labeled as Cru Selection, and the entire collection is rounded off by the Opoka Cru line.
Marjan Simčič also produces premium olive oils. The olives used to make their oils are carefully selected and processed with great attention to preserve the high quality of the oil.
