Petrus
Pétrus is an esteemed estate located in Bordeaux, specifically within the Pomerol appellation near the border of Saint-Émilion. Spanning just under 12 hectares, this small estate produces some of the world’s finest and most expensive wines. It is situated at the highest point of Pomerol, on its eastern edge. The soil is predominantly clay, a unique feature compared to neighboring estates, which often have a mix of gravelly sand and loam. The vineyards are exclusively planted with Merlot, showcasing the varietal’s full potential in this extraordinary terroir.
