In 2008, in search of the best clones, we traveled to István Szepsy in Tokaj, Hungary, where he gave us a selection of selected vineyard material. We planted them on the parcel Iglič in Gorca. Even with the best heredity, the Furmint remains a very sensitive grape variety. Only in the most favorable years does nature give us an Iglič Furmint.
Special features of origin:
Iglič is a high plateau dominated by limestone hills with south-facing terraces. Part of the plot was planted with excellent Furmint vines. The remaining aged, but very agile vines we refined by hand to Furmint. The wind that blows over the plateau benefits the Furmint, as it quickly dries the sensitive berries.

Vina Gross
Gross wines are the product of the exceptional work of young and talented winemaker Michael Gross from Styria, Austria. Michael fell in love with the Slovenian Gorca (a region in Styria), where his parents bought a weekend home ten years ago. He was captivated by the potential of the vineyards and saw an opportunity to produce wines of the highest quality.
