Vino živo rdeče barve s sledmi vijolične barve.
Na nosu je poln in eleganten s širokim razponom arom vanilije, zrelega sadja, kompota in sirupov.
Na jeziku je bogat in eleganten s harmoničnimi tanini, ki dajejo vinu subtilno hrbtenico. Ima veliko aromatično vztrajnost.
Grozdje je obrano ročno in takoj odnešeno v klet na sortirne mize. Fermentacija poteka v lesenih zbiralnikih pod kontroliranimi temperaturami dokler ni pridobljena dobra polifenolna struktura, zaradi katere bo vino pridobilo barvo in čvrsto strukturo, kar je tudi del osebnosti tega vina. Staranje poteka od 14 do 20 mesecev v sodih iz francoskega hrasta. Po stekleničenju ostane še vsaj 15 mesecev v mirni steklenici. Vsi ti postopki imajo za posledico intenzivno, kompleksno vino polnega telesa.

Bodegas Vega Sicilia is one of Spain's most renowned names. Their winery is located in the Ribera del Duero wine region in northern Spain. The winery was founded in 1864 and has been owned by the Álvarez family since 1982. They have introduced several changes, slightly modernized the system, and transformed the former winery into a true empire.
