Cocchi
Giulio Cocchi, a young and creative pastry chef from Florence, was enamored with the rich enogastronomic tradition of Piedmont. In Asti, the capital of Moscato, he discovered the widespread trend of flavoring wines with herbs and spices. In 1891, he founded his own company there, specializing in the creation of flavored wines and sparkling wines. In particular, he developed original recipes for Barolo Chinato, Aperitivo Americano, and various types of vermouth, which quickly brought him success and fame worldwide.
